Still Skatin
While our Kabul facility has been under repair, our amazing team taught outdoor skate sessions with schools and NGOs around the city. Today we were all back in the skate park for the first time since February and expect to start regular classes next week!
In other news from Afghanistan, we recently celebrated the enrollment of 36 kids, including 20 girls, into regular public school from our Back to School program. Our staff and female students also took part in a massive International Women's Day event with thousands of other Afghan women and girls.
Skateistan Cambodia partnered recently with the Cambodia Women's Development Agency, and was featured in a video piece by BBC News (footage link at bottom of post).
