Female Skate Jam and Graffiti

Greetings from Few and Far! In conjunction with celebrating our two-year anniversary, we are excited to be presenting our Second Annual All Female Skate Jam on Saturday, June 1st, 2013 at Power Inn Skate Park in Sacramento, CA. Open to all ages and abilities, the inaugural event brought an amazing turnout of ladies throughout the West Coast and beyond, showcasing their skills in skateboarding and live art in a non-competitive environment. Building upon the successes of the first gathering, we expect our next one to be even better, as we are currently seeking sponsors to help us achieve that goal.

Like our previous gathering, the event will feature a Skate Jam session, live art demonstrations, and a raffle. We will also be introducing the addition of a graffiti and street art workshop for kids and live music entertainment performed by local Sacramento and Bay Area bands.

We are asking for product and/or monetary donations so that we can make swag bags for the participants and volunteers, supplies for the artists and kids workshop, prizes for the raffle, and production of event t-shirts possible. Any amount of generosity would be greatly appreciated.

As a participating sponsor, your business name and logo will be featured on all promotional materials, including event fliers and posters, and your support will be announced during the event. Much like our first gathering, we also anticipate extensive promotion and coverage of the event through various popular action sports and art culture media outlets, including those of fellow sponsors.

Few and Far thanks you in advance for your support and donation! Please contact us fewandfarskate@gmail.com with any questions regarding arrangements for the collection of your donation. We really need any Monetary donations via PayPal can be made by clicking the “Donate” tab located at the bottom of our homepage at fewandfarwomen.com.

Sincerely,

RDC on Beer

On the Vedett Label

Just as a reminder-we thought we would mention that back in April 2012 the RDC were invited to put our website on the back of Vedett Lager Beer. It's all good fun because we are still featured on their bottles, so don't forget if your in a cafe, the pub or at home, all it takes is a quick QR zap with your smart phone and you are hooked up to the RDC website!

Enjoy the bubbles...

Off The Shelf

LogoBook

Author: Ludovic Houplain

Publishers: Taschen

If you are into graphic design, a student needing a resource book, a graff artist wanting to reproduce a logo on the street or just keep it on the shelf for reference-this book could be one for you...

No limp wrists for this one - with a hulking 775 pages to keep your logo fix in check for a long time to come. A heapin helpin of 7000 brand images from 007, A&P to Zippo all the logo images are arranged alphabetically, with information on designers, brands, companies and years of registration.

We just can't believe the variation on offer, some legendary and not so well known designs jump off the pages to remember and inspire.

From the Book:

"Logos are direct connections to corporate institutions but it isn't their aesthetic that makes them most identifiable, it's their level of exposure. A great logo which has poor exposure has little chance of attracting attention, unlike a third-rate logo that is seen all over the world."
