Off The Shelf

Art + Culture Magazine
May 2013

We are all smiles, cause May Juxtapoz has arrived... woop!

Kenny Scharf shows off his 'Klobz' - oil and acrylic on canvas on the front cover.
Kenny, was born in 1958 in Los Angeles. He gained an artistic identity in the late 70's early 80's in New York City's East Village art scene with cartoon - style installations. Working with various media which include spray paint, screen prints, glitter, oil and acrylic, he claims his artistic process are like watching television - flipping through the channels to get ideas.

Ok, so who else is inside:
Camille Rose Garcia: She sees the world through a vintage cartoon lens but her subjects speaks to the dark sides of our current cultural climate.
Charlie Roberts: 'Don't hate, congratulate."
Spencer Tunick: Works with nudes- " A lot of people think I have this factory of naked people on conveyor belts".
Fulvio Di Piazza: Blown away!
Kazuki Takamatsu: " My art deals with a fictional form of death..."
Oriol Angrill Jorda: Double exposures and multiplied images are his bag!
Odd Nerdrum: "I like to be in company with very few people, that I can trust a little."
