Rainbow Preschool Explore the Universe

RDC: One of the RDC Crew moved down to sunny (we can but hope) Devon, UK over the last few months and has finally got his foot in the door with some spray commisions. Here, he put smiles on small faces with his solar spectacular... great work - we miss yeh buddy!

With the Help of Daniel Kehily-Jones the preschoolers at Rainbow Preschool, Merton can now explore the universe while using their outdoor play area.  The preschool put out a plea for help as our outside play area was looking a little worse for wear and Dan kindly came to the rescue. 

Now the preschool has a great new piece of art to inspire imaginations and encourage play.Rainbow preschool is a small rural preschool run by parents for their children with an emphasis on learning through play.  Play helps young children to learn and develop through doing and talking, which research has shown to be the means by which young children learn to think. Our setting uses the Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance to plan and provide a range of play activities, which help children to make progress in each of the areas of learning and development.  We hope our new piece of art will be at the centre of many child lead explorations through space and art.  We are now hoping to turn the children’s summer house into a space ship so they really can blast off.

Daniel Is a North Devon based Illustrator and designer with a lot of street art background. When he's not out surfing the waves at Woolacombe and Croyde he's painting shop interiors, cafes, community venues and many other locations. He studied Visual Communication at Derby University and since then has been working alongside lots of community projects and personal projects. Dan's work is very versatile as his skills include traditional and modern techniques from Screen-printing to spay painting. He takes on commissions of all shapes and sizes and is always interested in your thoughts and ideas.
